Hall Report –

Hall Projects (in priority order):
Remove old meter base and patch roof
Insulate crawl space under bathrooms (1/2 done)
Northeast side roof needs additional screws
Kitchen counters need refinished
Kitchen needs exhaust hood and fan
Repainting under eves of hall
Kitchen and dining hall floors need refinished

8 party rentals scheduled. Chaps, Gamers and Zumba still have long term contracts.  Our insurance agent says do not waive insurance requirement.  Grange lawyer agrees.  Did find a somewhat lower cost vendor.

Electrical outlet installed outside around the corner from read door.  It is for renters and/or RV parked here during some square dance meetings.

AGRICULTURE –  OSG agriculture policy which was expiring, has been rewritten, edited by Pomona committee and State Grange Ag Committee and will be debated and hopefully passed at State Session. My objectives in re-writing the section we to organize it logically, correct the grammar and inject some PC language which hopefully gets us (John the Lobbyist) a seat at the negotiating table more often and more input when the really crazy ideas come up.
EDUCATION  -  Schools Out!  Watch for children when driving.

LEGISLATIVE –  Candidate forum was held at Abernathy Grange.  We had all candidates for commissioner and sheriff except 2.  Around 60 attendees in audience.  Event was well received by the candidates and the audience.  Lunch was great as usual!  Only significant complaint I heard was the sheriff candidates didn’t get enough time or questions.  That was my error, I thought the meeting was running too long and wanted to save some time for closing statements.  In the end we were done in well under the two hours scheduled.
SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE – JoAnn  Scholarship had one application which did not meet the agriculture study requirement and was rejected.  Change needed?
